W. Eric Volkmann | Chairman & CEO

W. Eric Volkmann, a longtime resident near Paris, Illinois, has dedicated over 25 years to community banking. Starting in marketing and loans, he has held roles such as Chief Lending Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Executive Vice President, and Board Director at banks under $1 billion. Volkmann served as the President of Prospect Bank for 22 years. During his tenure, the company grew from a bank located in one county with $140 million in assets, to one that serves six counties with more than 100 employees. In his new role as Chairman and CEO, Volkmann will focus on high-level strategic initiatives, including industry and market monitoring, acquisitions, risk management, operational efficiency, and the overall health and well-being of Prospect Bank. He also chairs the Edgar County Banc Shares, Inc. Holding Company Board and co-founded the Prospect Bank Foundation. As a strategic leader, Eric believes in leveraging new technologies and managing risks to achieve top performance. He emphasizes personalized banking solutions based on review, experience, and value. Outside of banking, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife Renee and their four daughters, actively participating in community nonprofit boards and activities.
