Q: What benefits are available to me?
A: Full time employees have access to health coverage, dental insurance, vision insurance, health savings plans (HSA), flexible savings plans (FSA), life insurance, short term disability and 401K Retirement Account.
Part time employees have access to flexible savings plans, 401K Retirement account, and vacation time.
Q: When do my benefits go into effect?
A: All new employees are hired for a training period of 90 days. Paid holidays and insurance benefits are available within the first month following date of hire. Dental, life, vision, short term disability benefits will be available the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
Q: When can I make changes to my current health benefits?
A: Open enrollment takes place every December for January 1 – December 31st plan year. During this time period, you can make changes to your health, vision, dental plan, your HSA, FSA, and other plan related details. HR will schedule sessions explaining any changes to health coverage and other benefits.
At any other time of the year, you can only change your benefit elections due to life status change, such as marriage, birth or adoption, divorce, or if spouse loses his or her benefit coverage.
Q: What is the cost of my health benefits?
A: Prospect Bank offers a choice of two plans and provides an allowance toward the cost of employee coverage. In 2023, the employee monthly cost of Plan 1 is $28.00 and Plan 2 is covered by the monthly allowance with an excess of $320 that can be contributed to an HSA or FSA.
The employee pays 100% of the monthly premium for dependent coverage.
Q: When am I eligible for the 401K Retirement plan?
A: You can start contributing to a 401K after your 90 day training period. The Bank will start matching up to 6% after 1 year of service and have worked at least 1,000 hours. You must be 21 years of age to enroll into plan.
Q: How often will I get paid?
A: Pay dates are the 15th and 30th (or preceding Friday if date falls on a weekend).
Hourly Payroll period for 15th pay is 22nd though 7th. Payroll period for 30th pay is 8th through 21st.
Salary payroll period for 15th pay is 1st through 15th and 30th payroll period is 16th through last day of the month.
Direct Deposit is preferred method of pay distribution.
Q: Will I receive a pay stub?
A: Pay statements are delivered electronically through Paycom.
Q: How much time off do I receive?
A: Each full-time employee can earn up to six personal days per year. Refer to offer letter for number of vacation days.
Q: Do I paid get paid for holidays?
A: All full-time employees get holiday pay for the following holidays: New Year’s, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Observance of days will be on the actual holiday unless on Sunday, those will be observed the following Monday.
Q: Where can I view my current vacation time balance?
A: View your paid time off balance in Paycom.
Q: Other common reasons for time off?
A: Bereavement: Bereavement pay will be granted for up to 3 days. Relationship of the deceased must be spouse, child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, brother, sister, mother or father-in-law, brother or sister-in-law.
Jury Duty: You will be excused for Jury Duty for a reasonable period of time at your regular pay. When you receive official notice of jury duty, inform your supervisor immediately.
Q: What is the dress code?
A. Appropriate business attire is expected.
Acceptable attire – slacks, khakis, skirts, dresses, dressy walking shorts, capris, collared shirts, blouses, turtlenecks, sweaters, ties, loafers, flats, dress boots, dress sandals, dress shoes.
Unacceptable attire – jeans or colored denim, sweatpants, sweatshirts, cutoffs or shorts, cargo pants, halter or tank tops, rubber/beach/sport flip flops.
Bank shirts are allowed any day of week with proper business attire. (Each new hire is provided with a bank shirt).
Q: Do I get free checking products?
A: Each employee is provided one personal checking account of their choice without service fees. Employees must utilize online banking and eStatements. Employees are encouraged to use all eProducts. Learn more about those at our Online Education Center.
Q: Will my personal accounts be protected from view of others?
A: Currently all employees, Officers and Directors accounts have restriction access levels based on their titles. All payroll and loan accounts with us will be restricted. All other accounts will not be restricted but will be flagged. If you want your other accounts restricted, you will need to fill out an Account Restriction Request Form.
Please use online banking or mobile banking to access your personal accounts. You should not be using internal systems to monitor your accounts.
